Actor and theatre director Girish Salvi succumbed to death after a long illness. The artist was residing in Worli where he breathed his last. Pahila Raja, Samadhi, Baap Ha Baapach Asto, Jata Nahi Jaat, and Buddhibal are some of Girish’s famous works. He was one of a kind actor, director, and producer and his death leaves a big void. Marathi industry has faced terrible losses in the last few weeks with the death of Ratnakar Matkari and folk artist Chhagan Chougule who failed their battle to COVID-19. The industry was still grieving them when today they woke up to the news os Girish Salvi’s death news.
Girish who was renowned for his work on 72 Pawsalyancha Jamakharcha, Jhabbu Indu Kale Sarla Bhole, Kheli Meli, Davedar, and many more path-breaking plays, is no more. His performances in these plays are still in the hearts of many fans because of his ease in performance and his amazing timing.
