Everyone loves Ganpati Bappa and they bring home idols of Bappa every year. Many of these idols are made up of POP which doesn’t get dissolved in water for many years and spread water and environmental pollution. Therefore, some people have adapted to an eco-friendly way to celebrate Ganesh Utsav. 

Many have started using idols of Bappa that are made up of soil that gets easily dissolved in water and among these people there are many celebrities who also use these idols and influence others to do the same thing to reduce the pollution. Actress Sonalee Kulkarni is also one of those people.

Sonalee celebrated an eco-friendly Ganesh Utsav by bringing Bappa’s idol which is made of red soil. She advised her fans to follow the same approach on Ananta Chaturdashi. She shared a video of Bappa’s visarjan on her Instagram.


In this video, we can see Sonalee’s family celebrating visarjan at home like everyone nowadays. Her family did the visarjan by immersing Bappa’s idol into an empty flower pot filled halfway with water. Later she added a photo with Bappa saying after the idol gets dissolved she’ll be planting seeds in it.

Recently, she posted a story showing the flower pot in which Bappa’s idol has been dissolved. She has set forth inspiration for everyone. Her fans have loved her efforts and liked the way she celebrated an eco-friendly visarjan.
