Purnima Talwalkar or Purnima Bhave, is the popular Marathi actress often portraying either a mother or an aunt to the leading characters in television and films. A theatre star devoted to film and television, she is the daughter-in-law of late Marathi super-star Smita Talwalkar, an actor, director and social worker.
After working in many serials, Purnima gained limelight as ‘Shri’s aunt in ‘Honar Sun Mee Hyaa Gharchi’. Her current serial ‘Phulpakhru’ directed by Mandar Devasthali is a successful daily soap revolving around two college sweethearts. Her co-star and leading lady Hruta Durgule wished Purnima for her birthday in her Instagram story today!
Purnima has done a number of Marathi television serials such as ‘Avantika’, ‘Don Ghadicha Dav’ and ‘Kalat Nakalat’ and ‘Honaar Suun Mee Hyaa Gharchi’. Her role as ‘Baby Atya’ is one of her most memorable roles.
