Netflix is set to stream a horror web series produced by Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment which is named ‘Betaal’, after the children’s horror story character ‘Betaal’. This series is directed by Patrick Graham and Nikhil Mahajan. This is Patrick’s second horror series on Netflix, his first being Radhika Apte starrer ‘Ghoul’.
Jitendra Joshi will be playing one of the prominent roles in the series. He is accompanied by Vineet Kumar Singh and Aahana Kumra. ‘Betaal’ is about a ghost of a century-old British Indian Army officer and his army of zombie redcoats who break loose in a part of remote India and the local police combat these supernatural forces.
It was this wrap party where producer Shahrukh Khan was present to celebrate the successful completion of shoot. At this party, Jitendra Joshi met Shahrukh Khan and was mesmerized by the presence of this charismatic human being. Jitendra is inspired by the way he perceives acting and characters. Recently Jitendra aka ‘Jitu dada’ was seen in movies like 'Welcome Home’, ‘Mauli’ and ‘Ventilator’. He has done many versatile roles in his career of a hero, anti-hero, comedian and action hero too but this new horror series will be the most unique of all.
