One of the most celebrated Indian classical vocalist Pandit Jasraj recently passed away on Monday, Mahesh Kale the popular Marathi singer who adored the late singer writes a tribute in his honor. The singer took it to social media to share his eulogy.
The singer writes, “I’m deeply saddened by the passing of Pt. Jasraj. Always so giving and encouraging - I’m indebted to you for always encouraging the music in me, and also for always supporting ICMA. Bapuji, your “Jeete Raho Gate Raho”, that you murmured into my ear, in that embrace after the screening of Katyar Kaljat Ghusli will be an aashirwad I’ll remember and find strength from, for the rest of my life. May you find peace in your onward journey. Jai Ho!”
Several Bollywood celebrities like Lata Mangeshkar, AR Rahman, Javed Akhtar, and others from the fraternity mourned the loss of the legendary vocalist.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Mahesh Kale renowned for his specialization in Indian Classical, Semi-Classical, and Devotional music won the 63rd National Film Award for his classical piece in the film Katyar Kaljat Ghusli.
