Mee Vasantrao: Rahul Deshpande To Star As His Grandfather In The Biopic On Vasantrao Deshpande's Life
Nipun Dharmadhikari is all set to bring the life of music maestro, late Vasantrao Deshpande on the big screen with Rahul Deshpande starring in the role of his grandfather
The young and talented director Nipun Dharmadhikari known for his work in Nautanki Saala!, Harishchandrachi Factory, and the National Award-winning film Dhappa. He is known for his channel BhaDiPa on social media and is also a creative content creator.
Nipun is all set to bring the life of music maestro, late Vasantrao Deshpande on the big screen. Rahul Deshpande who is also the grandson of late Shri Vasantrao Deshpande's is playing his grandfather’s role in this upcoming film going by the same name. He took to his Instagram handle to share the teaser of the film.
The singer turned actor writes, “मराठी संगीत क्षेत्रातलं सळसळतं वादळ, ज्यानं आपल्या आक्रमक शैलीत स्वतःची ओळख सिद्ध केली... पंडित वसंतराव देशपांडे यांच्या जीवनावरील चित्रपटाची ही पहिली झलक... मी वसंतराव... #MeeVasantrao”.
The minute-long musical teaser gives you a glimpse in the larger than life personality of Deshpande's life, his struggle to gain recognition, his love for song and his talent. Nipun Dharmadhikari's directorial Mee Vasantrao is produced under the banner of Viacom 18 studios. The trailer gave a glimpse of stars like Anita Date, Amey Wagh, Pushkaraj Chirputkar and Kaumudi Walokar in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release soon.
