Prasad Oak to direct Marathi play ‘Tu Mhanshil Tasa’ featuring Prashant Damale
Marathi actor-director Prasad Oak will soon be working with Prashant Damale in a new play under his direction. This is for the first time both Prasad Oak and Prashant Damale will work together
Actor-director Prasad Oak and actor-comedian Prashant Damale will be soon working together in their new project- Tu Mhanshil Tasa (As you say). Oak who is an ace actor will be directing this new Marathi play. His love for direction brought him to Mumbai but he started his career working as an actor and has many films to his credit. His list of movies include Hay kay Nay Kai, Picasso, Hirkani, Farzand, Shikari, Kanha and also directed Kaccha Limbu and many more films.
Prasad Oak wanted to take up direction as his career but started getting roles in movies and couldn't give much time to direction. But now he is working as a director and will be directing a play written by Sankarshan Karhade, which will feature Prashant Damale. Rehearsals for the play have started and it is scheduled to be staged in December.
The play will feature Prashant Damale, veteran Marathi actor who has been working in the industry for the past 35 years. He has a long list of popular dramas, movies and television serials to his fame. Associated with Marathi theatre since 1983, Damale is widely recognised as the biggest superstar of Marathi theatre. Writer Sankarshan and Bhakti Desai will also be seen in the play along with Prashant Damale.
