Ramesh Deo, a legendary veteran actor who has given Marathi industry great films, heroic characters, and fearsome villains, turns 91 today! Son Ajinkya Deo who recently showed Bollywood a glimpse of his acting in Tanhaji The Unsung Warrior, announced on Twitter yesterday that he is excited to celebrate his father’s 91st Birthday.
The nonagenarian Ramesh Deo is still a better actor than any most others in Marathi Industry! Having worked in over 285 Hindi films, 190 Marathi films and 30 plus Marathi dramas he continues to be in search of performance opportunities. His last Bollywood film Jolly LLB proves that.
Once the actor who was told he doesn’t fit the bill for being a Hindi hero fought his way against all odds and reached stardom. A student of the military school was destined to meet the silver screen. He was lucky to share the screen with Prithviraj Kapoor in his debut role. He was a fan who went to see the shooting with his father when a child artist failed to turn up, Ramesh got the part.
