Sachit Patil Returns To Theatre After 19 Years With ‘Maharathi’
Paresh Rawal created a sensation in the Gujrati theatre industry with ‘Maharathi’. Now this play will be presented in Marathi and Sachit Patil will be seen in the lead role. Sachit Patil recently took to Instagram to share the poster of this upcoming play. The launch of the play is scheduled on the occasion of Independence Day i.e. on 15th of August. 

‘Maharathi’ is a story of Subhash Shirke, a small-time thief who saves the life of a producer who has become bankrupt. He is then appointed as a driver by this producer. Things take a turn when this alchol-addict producer commits suicide and his young wife Mallika tries to inherit his insurance of crores of rupees. Subhash is on a crossroad to choose honesty over crores of rupees. What he choses is something we can find out only in the play.


Sachit Patil will be a part of this play’s Marathi version. This will be a comeback for Sachit after 19 years to the world of theatre. Sachit made his debut in Bollywood with ‘Kyon?’ his work in Marathi came to limelight after ‘Zenda’, ‘Kshanbhar Vishranti’ and ‘Classmates’. His television stint with ‘Radha Prem Rangi Rangli’ was hugely successful. He was paired opposite Veena Jagtap who is now a popular contestant of Bigg Boss Marathi Season 2.
