There have already been biopics on Indian players like MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Milkha Singh, and Mary Kom. One of the upcoming movies on Kapil Dev's life starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone is also set for a release in December 2021. In 2022, a biopic on Indian ODI and Test cricket team captain Mitali Raj (Mithali Raj) will be released. 

Now, the latest is that Titeeksha Tawde, one of the most sought-after actors in the Marathi film industry, is going to star in this upcoming blockbuster along with Tapasee Pannu. Titeeksha posted pictures of the actress who shared the news. Titeeksha Tawde has not exactly disclosed the role she plays in the movie yet, but through her posts, she confirms that she will be appearing in it. In this movie, Bollywood star actress Tapasi Pannu plays the role of Indian women's cricket captain Mithali Raj. A revealing first look at Indian women's cricket captain Mithali Raj's biopic ' Shabbas Mithu' was released a few days ago and the film's release date was also disclosed. 

In T20 matches, Mithali Raj has helmed India in 32 games, including three World Cups (2012), 2014, and 2016 as captain. Mithali also skippered the women's T20 team when it played its first game in 2006. With her 89 T20 matches, Mithali has scored 2364 runs, including 17 fifties. She has played 97 games in T20 cricket, her best game being 97. Mithali retired from T20 cricket on September 3, 2019. Shabaash Mithu is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biopic film directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Viacom18 Studios. It is inspired by the life of Indian cricketer Mithali Raj. The movie is scheduled to be released on February 5, 2022.
