Singapore Based Company Invests In The First Ever Marathi OTT Platform Planet Marathi
Planet Marathi will soon be reaching the Marathi audience globally with the launch of a brand new OTT platform with one of the biggest media investment entities Vistas Media Capital VMC.
Planet Marathi is reaching new heights! Recently after director Sanjay Jadhav's joining to the Planet Marathi team, the production house has come up with new and exciting news.
Soon Planet Marathi will be launching a brand new OTT platform for Marathi content with a Singapore-based media-focused investment entity, VISTAS MEDIA CAPITAL (VMC). With the increased use of the Internet in this pandemic, the entertainment industry has seen immense growth. This lockdown has brought many newer ways and genres in the entertainment industry. Also, there has been a growth of 26% in the digital infrastructure, according to the Media And Entertainment Report of KPGM. Aiming for a larger audience, the VMC will be investing up to USD 5 million, into the PLANET MARATHI, as they have planned a rich and diversified OTT platform.
Announcing their partnership, the Group CEO of VMC, Mr. Abhayanand Singh said that he is thrilled to partner with Planet Marathi for this platform. Looking at the growth of the OTT platform in India, this new platform will be a great opportunity for the Marathi audience around the world to experience the new Marathi content.
VMC has a great record of investing in various media-related business companies. It has invested in various films, series, etc. in languages like Marathi, Tamil, Hindi as well as in Hollywood. VMC has also strengthened the hold of Special Purpose Acquisition Company on the global media and entertainment sector by sponsoring over 100 million Dollars.
Head of Planet Marathi, Akshay Bardapurkar said that after being devoid of digital entertainment, this OTT platform will fill the void of entertainment. He also plans to expand the Planet Marathi over the globe and this partnership is a perfect start for that. With these two big companies coming together, the Marathi audience is sure to see a great OTT platform. This amazing news has caused great uproar all over social media.
