Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior: MNS Supports Release Of Ajay Devgn Starrer In Marathi, Actor Is Thankful
The film is based on the life of a legendary military leader in the Maratha empire—Tanaji Malusare. It also features Sharad Kelkar, Kajol, Neha Sharma, Jagapathi Babu and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles. The 3D movie is set to release on January 10, 2020.
The row over the release of Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior in Marathi language has come to an end. Mahrashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has allowed the release of the film in Marathi language. The film is based on the life of a legendary military leader in the Maratha empire—Tanaji Malusare.
Ameya Vinod Khopkar, president of MNS' Cine Wing, said, “MNS continues to oppose the release of Hindi films dubbed in Marathi. However 'Tanhaji 'is a film that should be dubbed in as many languages as possible and released across the globe.” The statement has been taken from The Times Of India.

He even congratulated the director and the lead actor of the film starring Kajol as Savitribai Malusare.
Expressing the gratitude, Ajay Devgn tweeted, “Thank you Ameya & MNS for allowing us to showcase our film Tanhaji in Marathi & Hindi simultaneously. It’s our privilege to be able to share the story of this brave Maratha warrior in his mother tongue as well as the National Language.”

The film is set in the 17th century, the Om Raut's directorial is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, unsung warrior of glorious Indian history and the military leader in the army of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire. Ajay Devgn, who stars in his 100th film, will be seen portraying the role of Subhedar Tanaji Malusare.
The movie also features Sharad Kelkar, Kajol, Neha Sharma, Jagapathi Babu and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles. The 3D movie is set to release on January 10, 2020.
