T-Series mix Tape Season 3 is releasing some memorable versions of the 90s classics. Recently, we got talking to Yaseer Desai and Shilpa Rao, who have also sung in this season of the show. Here's all the masti we did with the duo
T-series Mix Tape Season 3 is one of the hottest properties in the music world, currently. The amalgamation of two classics from the 90s era is the theme of Season 3 and we have been catching up with the lovely singers, who have performed for the show this year. Yaseer Desai and Shilpa Rao were our latest guests on Playlist and we had a whole lot of musical conversation and fun with these two talent powerhouse.
The idea of Mix tape is somewhere to revisit the old songs and give a new spin, and Yaseer and Shilpa chose Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahi and Nazar Ke Saamne as their song for the show. When asked Yaseer if he took any pressure about stepping into the shoes of original singer- Kumar Sanu, he clarified that they have not tried to recreate the original. He has just performed the song in his style and it's more of a tribute. "Baaki kuch log toh judge karenge hi ki nahi gaana chahiye tha, but main uss cheez ka pressure leke nahi gaata," added Yaseer.
Shilpa too made some candid revelations like the talented singer was not nominated in any award show for the initial 12 years of her career. However, it wasn't all serious talks with these two as we played a couple of fun quizzes with them.
In the 90s era quiz, where the singers had to guess the song by hearing to its middle verses, Yaseer walked away with the cake, hands down. We also played a personality test with them, checking how well they know each other. To know who won in that segment, watch the video above.
