9XM SoundcastE: Episode 108 With Karsh Kale
Indian-origin British musician, producer, singer, songwriter, film composer & a DJ, Karsh Kale is on this episode to talk about his remarkable musical journey, creative discipline & his ‘lockdown’ album called ‘Touch’.

The award-winning music composer/producer for ‘Gully Boy’, Karsh Kale, is globally renowned for his ‘tabla
-drumming’. One of the pioneering figures in defining the Asian Underground genre by mixing genres of music like Indian classical & folk with electronica, rock, pop etc., Karsh Kale has collaborated with Indian maestros like Pt. Ravi Shankar, Ustad Zakir Hussain to international artists like Sting, U2, Norah Jones, Anoushka Shankar, Alicia Keys & others.

It’s a rare opportunity to know about this 'genre-bending' musician’s broad range of influences, self-training, his ‘Marathi’ roots & his thoughts about perceiving music/tabla as a ‘language’.
