9XM SoundcastE is back and this time we have Richa Sharma joining us. The vivacious singer with a phenomenal range, Richa Sharma, joins Host Eva Bhatt in this episode, to share about some remarkable milestones and interesting experiences from her musical journey, till date.
She talks about her musical inspirations, her solid base of Indian classical music & her initial years of devotional music. From singing for A. R. Rahman in Taal to ‘Mahi Ve’ (Kaante) or ‘Sajda’ (My Name is Khan), ‘Lambi Judai (Jannat) or ‘Holi’ (Padmaavat), she has created a benchmark for singers, undoubtedly. Being an ‘outsider’, that too with an unconventional voice, makes it compelling to explore her story. She also promotes new talent, by working with new musicians & her latest single ‘Duntara’, is a shining example.
This episode has some brilliant renditions of classical, folk and ‘Sufi’ songs by the singer from Faridabad.
