AR Rahman‘s eldest daughter Khatija Rahman has got engaged to an entrepreneur and audio engineer Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed. Khatija took to her social media handles to announce her engagement and shared a photo of Mohamed. In her post, she also revealed that the engagement took place on the occasion of her birthday, 29th December, and it was a private affair with only close friends and family members in attendance. As soon as Khatija announced the news, congratulatory wishes started pouring in from her well-wishers and friends from Bollywood.
Taking to her Instagram handle, she shared a collage photo of her and Riyasdeen. Alongside it, she wrote, “With the blessings of the Almighty I’m happy to announce to you all my engagement with Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed @riyasdeenriyan, an aspiring entrepreneur and a wizkid audio engineer. The engagement happened on 29th December, my birthday in the presence of close family and loved ones.#KhatijaRahmanEngagementWithRiyasdeen #ThankYou.”
For the ceremony, AR Rahman’s daughter sported a pink coloured outfit along with jewelry and a garland. She is also seen wearing a matching mask. She kept it simple yet elegant. She added a black and white photo of Riyasdeen instead of posting his picture from the ceremony in the collage.
Reacting to the post, several celebrities wished the couple. Singer Harshdeep Kaur commented, "Congratulations to the both of you. God Bless!!"
Shweta Pandit wrote, "Little baby girl is all set to walk the aisle. So happy for you @khatija.rahman.” Neeti Mohan said, “Many many congratulations. This is such a wonderful moment.” Sreekanth Hariharan wrote, "Heartiest congratulations @khatija.rahman & @riyasdeenriyan !!"
On the work front, Khatija Rahman, who had performed with her father during Mumbai's U2 concert in 2019, has sung several songs in Tamil films.
