Arjun Kanungo recently got engaged to long-time girlfriend Carla Dennis. The singer made the announcement in a post on social media. He shared pictures with Carla and wrote, “I’ve wanted to ask her for so long. Couldn’t wait any longer, so I did! #Engaged!!!"It was just recently that Arjun released a new music video titled Waada Hai featuring Bigg Boss 13 fame Shehnaaz Gill. Now, the singer exclusively shared details about his engagement with Carla and its connection to his music video Waada Hai.
When asked if the big news of his engagement was a co-incidence, Arjun Kanungo said that it’s ‘absolutely not a coincidence’. Arjun said, “Absolutely not a coincidence. I had planned this from Day 1 because I wanted the song and video and my engagement to come at the same time.” The singer added, “It was my surprise to my fiancé. So, I wanted to propose to her and that’s why I made a video about a guy proposing to a girl. And, I’ve always been a little apprehensive about marriage, so you know, that’s what the video is also about.”
Arjun Kanungo continued to talk about his music video Waada Hai and said, “It’s about a guy and a girl, who are very much in love with each other, but the guy doesn’t want to get married and the girl really wants to get married.” He further shared that his real life is similar to the song. The singer added, “My real life is also similar to that. I feel like...And, this case, it is totally my story with Carla.” Kanungo concluded, “And that’s why you know, I feel like it’s so powerful as it so real to me and so real to the fans.”
