Bharat Song, Chashni: Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif’s Love Ballad Is A Melodious Treat
In 1974, while the audience adored Rajesh Khanna, the first superstar of Indian cinema, Salman Khan aka Bharat was a fan of Dilip Kumar and found his Saira Banu in Kumud (Katrina Kaif). There began their Chashni wali love story, a decade after he romanced Disha Patani.

The video shows Bharat and Kumud’s love story take shape while working in a mine. The duo romances over rangolis and jalebis, in deserts and on water. The sweet chemistry of the pair is what instantly draws connect to the video and the soothing voice of Abhijeet Srivastava just adds to the melody.  The lyrics are by Irshad Kamil and the video has been choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the director spoke about why he cannot write love scenes between his lead pair. Said Zafar, “I realised that I cannot write love scenes between the two (Salman and Katrina) of them because even when Salman sees Katrina for the first time in the film, you automatically feel that they are made for each other. So, the task is to keep it very real and subtle. To make it as normal as possible. They both are really good looking stars and I was coming straight from Tiger where they play husband and wife and then to bring them back and write the scene where they meet for the first time in Bharat and fall in love is a process but somewhere because of the story it comes out as very natural and sweet.”

The trailer and posters of Bharat have already received thumbs up from the viewers. The movie is slated to release on June 5, 2019.
