Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's Participation With Harshdeep Kaur-Vijay Arora Causes A Stir: FINAL WARNING Issued To NOT Work With Pakistani Artistes-EXCLUSIVE
The tension between India and Pakistan is still prevalent but amidst it, Pakistani artiste Rahat Fateh Ali Khan performed with Indian artistes Vijay Arora and Harshdeep Kaur through an online program. It has forced the FWICE to spring into action as they issued a notice to Indian singers for participating in digital concert with Pakistani artistes. We reproduce the letter inside.

So, we got in touch with General Secretary of FWICE, Ashok Dubey to know the situation and he began by saying, “Yesterday, Harshdeep Kaur and Vijay Arora did an online singing programme with a group of artistes which included Pak singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. We had very well issued a circular long back that Indian artistes are not supposed to collaborate with Pakistani artistes in any capacity, yet this happened.”

In the same vein, Dubey added, “During lockdown, if these guys are doing this, then it’s totally wrong. Even though it wasn’t promoted on a commercial scale, they need to realize that even today, Pakistani soldiers are attacking Indians. Also, to remind everyone, last year after the Pulwama attack, it was specified that no Indian performer or musician will work with Pak artistes, but these people still went ahead with it now.”

We asked him if this continues then what will be the course of action? Dubey replied, “We will ban them and we will make sure that our industry doesn’t work with these guys ever again.” Can this be considered as the final warning? In a stern tone, he said “Yes, it is the final warning! This won’t be tolerated henceforth.”
