Amid all the nepotism controversy, the makers of Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt starrer Sadak 2 dropped a new song from the film, Ishq Kamaal. Ever since the trailer of Sadak 2 was dropped online, the film has been mired in controversy. Due to the ongoing nepotism debate after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the film’s trailer not only became the world's 3rd most-disliked trailer but was also called out by a Pakistani artist for allegedly copying Ishq Kamaal song. Sadak 2 sees the collaboration of Alia and Mahesh Bhatt for the first time and also the filmmaker’s return to the direction after several years.
A while back, the makers dropped the 2nd song of the film and it sees the budding love between the lead actors Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. Alia and Aditya’s togetherness reminds Sanjay Dutt of his own love for Pooja Bhatt in the film. At the time of going online, the song has already received 17K like and 37K dislikes. The makers were earlier called out by Pakistani Music producer Shezan Saleem aka JO-G for plagiarism.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt has begun his cancer treatment after getting diagnosed for Lung Cancer. Maanayata Dutt on coming back from Dubai released a statement for Sanju's fans which read, "To all of Sanju’s fans and well wishers, I can’t begin to thank you for the love and warmth you have shown him all these years.
Sanju has been through many ups and downs in his life, but what has kept him going through every tough phase has always been your adulation and support. And for this, we will always be grateful. We are now being tested through yet another challenge, and I know, the same love and warmth will see him through this time as well."
