Singer and composer Sonu Nigam is one of the most sought after names in the music industry. After decades of mesmerising the audience with his soulful voice, he is leaving no stone unturned to entertain his fans. However, a recent incident left him emotionally scarred as he was attacked during his concert in Chembur, Mumbai. Not only was his team of bodyguards manhandled, but Sonu’s brother was hurt during the scuffle and is now hospitalised.

Reports state that Sonu was getting down from the stage when MLA Prakash Phaterpekar's son attacked the singer and his bodyguards. According to BollywoodLife, the son wanted to click a picture with the famous music composer. When he didn’t get to click one, he pushed Sonu’s bodyguard and another person who was accompanying them. While the singer remained unscathed as he was protected by his guards, his brother got hurt and was rushed to the hospital.

A video from the concert is currently going viral on social media. Fans are left enraged at the MLA’s son’s rude behaviour. A netizen wrote, “Damn you @UdhavThackeray @eknathshinde_fc @AmitShah @MumbaiPolice when will these goons be arrested I hope @SonuNigamSingh is safe #sonuNigam”

This is not the first time, singer was attacked during their show. Singer Kailash Kher too was attacked during his show at theHampi Utsav in Karnataka. For the unversed, a half-filled water bottle was hurled at the folk and sufi singer for singing Hindi songs by two men in their early 20s. According to the singer, he had pre-decided the sequence of his songs, when the men in anger, that he was only singing Hindi songs, threw the bottle at him, which barely missed his head.
