Composer duo Vishal-Shekhar, who has collaborated with British boy band The Vamps for the single Beliya, performed with them at Hard Rock Cafe in Mumbai. The concert turned out to be a sold-out event. The Vamps belted out their famous numbers like Last Night, Can We Dance and Wild Hearts. This set the audience wanting for more. Encouraged by their response, the Vamps promised that they will revisit India very soon.
The band comprises four members --- Bradley Simpson, Connor Ball, James McVey and Tristan Evans. Ever since the quartet landed in Mumbai, they have been on the roll. Their fans in Bollywood -- Mithoon, Farah Khan, Ajay Devgn and Boman Irani -- also met them.
Vishal-Shekhar and The Vamps have collaborated for five songs, which will eventually release in the next few months. Their second single will come out in September and the video for it has already been shot. Initiated by Bottomline Media and Virgin EMI Records, this is the first of their many collaborations to come. The song was conceptualised and recorded in London by Vishal-Shekhar. The duo has added the essence of Indian music with the vocals of top-of-the-charts band.
