83: Ammy Virk Gets Tutored by Spin King Balwinder Sandhu

Ammy Virk, who is a part of the cast of '83' was spotted getting coaching lesson of spin bowling from spin-legend Balwinder Singh Sandhu. Balwinder was a part of the iconic 1983 World Cup-winning team. The entire episode unfolded in Dharamshala where the cast and crew of the movie are undergoing a boot camp. In the picture, you can see Ammy standing all-decked up in the cricketing whites as Balwinder is holding the seam of the ball passing tips to the young actor. The actor, on the other hand, stands there like an obedient student trying to grasp whatever comes his way.

Virk proudly captioned the post as, "Spinning times are coming up!! Real training with my Reel avatar Balwinder Singh Sandhu sir from the Dharamshala boot camp."


It was posted nine hours back and has already garnered 80K+ likes on Instagram, is just a testament of the popularity the film is already getting.

Kabir Khan is helming the much-awaited project which is releasing on April 10, 2020. The film has Ranveer Singh playing the lead as Kapil Dev. Kapil Dev the World Cup-winning captain is also present at the camp training with the star-cast of the film. Virk is not the only Punjabi star in the film. Upcoming Punjabi talent Harrdy Sandhu is also a part of the mega film and he would be portraying the role of all-rounder Madan Lal. 

The stakes from the film would be high after the success of MS Dhoni. This is not the first cricketing biopic that is being worked out by Bollywood. In the recent past, we have seen the docu-drama titled 'Sachin-A Billion Dreams' and 'Azhar'.
