Amarjit Singh Saron On Diljit Dosanjh And Shehnaaz Gill’s Honsla Rakh Trailer At Top Trend: ‘A Proud Moment For Entire Pollywood Industry’-EXCLUSIVE
Amarjit Singh Saron, in an exclusive chat with SpotboyE.com, talks about the huge success of Honsla Rakh’s trailer and working with Diljit Dosanjh and Shehnaaz Gill!
Diljit Dosanjh, Shehnaaz Gill and Sonam Bajwa-starrer upcoming Punjabi film ‘Honsla Rakh’ is one of the most anticipated movies of this year. The trailer of Amarjit Singh Saron’s directorial was released on September 27. The 2:56 minute-long intriguing trailer left everyone mighty impressed. Shortly, after its release, the trailer became a top trend on YouTube and social media. Now, in an exclusive chat with SpotboyE.com, the film’s director Amarjit Singh Saron talked about the huge success of the trailer and the idea behind Honsla Rakh.
Amarjit Singh shared, “The trailer has become the most-watched Punjabi movie trailer in just a day and it is really a big thing for The Punjabi Industry. While doing this project we had the idea that it will do great but did not expect to receive so much love and support from everyone. Now, after seeing such an overwhelming response to the trailer, Honsla Rakh has given us too much honsla.”
Although Shehnaaz has appeared in a few Punjabi films, Honsla Rakh happens to be her first big project. Talking about her, the director revealed that he knew Gill from earlier as they have worked together in a movie before ‘Kala Shah Kala’.
“Before I was offered to direct this film by Diljit Dosanjh the casting was almost done and Shehnaaz Gill was already chosen for this role. I was really happy knowing that she was playing the role and she is the perfect fit for it. She too was happy to know that I am directing the movie,” he added.
Furthermore, Amarjit Singh revealed that he and Diljit Dosanjh were supposed to do some other movie in Punjab but the actor called him and said that if he wanted to one more movie with him and that’s how they came up with Honsla Rakh.
“Me and Diljit bhaji were supposed to do a movie Ranna Ch Dhanna and that was supposed to be shot in Punjab, meantime, Diljit asked if we can do one more movie together. I was happy to hear that because I am a big fan of Diljit bhaji’s work. He wanted to do Honsla Rakh first as he wanted to shoot overseas,” he said.
“After the pandemic, people have gone through much so they need some laugh and entertainment so this movie is a family entertainment about single parents and we hope people will love it,” Amarjit Singh Saron signs off.
On a related note, Honsla Rakh will mark Shehnaaz Gill's comeback to Punjabi films and Diljit’s debut as a producer. The movie, which also stars Gippy Grewal’s son, Shinda, is slated to hit theatres on October 15, 2021.
