In the film, Deepika is essaying the role of an acid attack survivor. Her character's role name is Malti. Acid is thrown on her face which changes her face completely. Malti hates her face but slowly things changes and she starts loving her face. Malti even starts a campaign against selling of acid in the market so that any other girls don’t face it.
This film is based on true events. Deepika is playing the role of Laxmi Agarwal. In 2005, acid was thrown on her face when she was just 15-year-old.
Meanwhile, Sonam will be next seen in Jinde Meriye with Parmish Verma. The film is releasing on January 24, 2020.
