The queen of Pollywood, Neeru Bajwa is celebrating her 39th birthday today
Neeru Bajwa needs no introduction in the Punjabi film industry and today on August 26 the queen of Pollywood is celebrating her 39th birthday. She is one of the actresses who is working in the industry for almost two decades. Now on her big day here, we have mentioned a few interesting facts about the Pollywood diva we bet you never heard before.
In the year 1998, the Canada born actress has stepped into the entertainment industry. Her first movie was ‘Main Solah Baras Ki’ starring Bollywood veteran superstar Dev Anand. In 2004, Neeru Bajwa stepped into the Pollywood industry with the film Asa Nu Maan Watan Da’. However, the major turning point in her career is the Punjabi song ‘Kainthey Wala’ by Kamal Heer.
The actress didn’t limit herself to only one field, she directs and produced movies as well. Her first Punjabi directorial ‘Sargi’ came out in 2017 and the actress made her production debut with ‘Channo Kamli Yaar Di’ in 2016. However, her last release as a producer was ‘Munda Hi Chahida’.
She has come a long way from being a daily soap opera actress, to be the queen of the Punjabi film industry. Her claim to fame movie is ‘Jatt & Juliet’ which was released in 2012. Neeru has done many hit films like ‘Jihne Mera Dil Luteya’, ‘Mel Karada Rabba’ and ‘Jatt & Juliet 2’ among others.
Her recently released film ‘Shadaa’ opposite Diljit Dosanjh and the film has broken all the major box office records.
