Sargun Mehta on 'Surkhi Bindi': It is not a normal romantic story
In a recent interview, Sargun Mehta said how careful she is with her film choices and also said how she got on board with ‘Surkhi Bindi’
Punjabi actress Sargun Mehta, has done a lot of hit movies with substance like ‘Qismat’, ‘Angrez’ and ‘Lahoriye’ to name a few. However, the actress is currently busy in promoting her upcoming film 'Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh'. Besides Sargun Mehta, the movie also stars Gippy Grewal in the lead.
However, according to Etimes, in an exclusive interview, the actress told them how careful she is with her film choices and also told how she got on board with ‘Surkhi Bindi’ which also stars Gurnam Bhullar in the lead. The movie is slated to release on August 30. Sargun said, “I am very conscious while choosing scripts, and now even industry has understood the same and they don't come to me with movies and characters that don't have a lot of meat in it. I feel there is no use in putting so much energy in something that only means you have to go and look pretty.”
When asked about replacing Simi Chahal in the movie, the actress said she has no clue, she got a call directly from the director of the film Jagdeep Sidhu to do the film. About the movie, she said that it is not a regular romantic movie.
Meanwhile, Sargun's upcoming movie 'Chandigarh-Amritsar-Chandigarh' is going to be released on May 24. It is a romantic comedy and both the actors are sharing screen space for the first time.
