Kannada TV Actor Passes Away At 42 Due To Prolonged Ailment; Banglore Hospital Makes Official Announcement-REPORTS
Popular Kannada TV actor Ravi Prasad also known as Mandya Ravi left for the heavenly abode on Wednesday, September 15, 2022, at the age of 43 in Bangalore. He was quite a popular personality on Kannada television who entertained the audience with his impeccable acting chops. His demise has left a void in everyone’s heart. Following the sad news, his friends, family, and fans mourned his untimely death. 

As per the reports, Ravi passed away due to a prolonged ailment. He was under treatment at a private hospital for several days in Bengaluru. According to Kannada TV channels, he was suffering from liver-related ailments.

As per reports of ETimes a source was quoted saying, “The actor was suffering from multiple organ failure failed to respond to the treatment.”

The news of the actor’s death has been confirmed by his father Dr Mudde Gowda. The mortal remains of Ravi Prasad will be kept for public viewing in his native Mandya. On Thursday, the last rites will be performed in his native Kallahalli in Mandya. 




Producer and actor Jayashree has expressed shock over the death of her fellow colleague. Kannada Television Association president Shivakumar too has mourned his death. 

Kannada actress Ankita Amar shared her grief and mourned for the actor. The duo was seen together in a daily soap. While speaking to ETimes, she said, “I am numb and shocked hearing the news of Mandya Ravi sir passing away. It is such sad news to hear. I hope God gives his family members the strength to recover from his loss. Also, the industry has lost a fine artist and Mandya Ravi sir will be missed.”

For the unversed, Ravi Prasad made his television acting debut with T S Nagabharana's serial Mahamayi and has acted in pivotal roles in most of T N Seetharam's daily soaps. Minchu, Mukta Mukta, Magalu Janaki, Chitralekha, Yashode, Varalakshmi Stores are some of the serials which helped him garner recognition. 

He is survived by his wife, son, parents, and two sisters.
