Fans expressing their disappointment on celebrities are not unheard of they have often written letters or social media posts to criticize the actor. In the recent years however, there has been an increase in violence towards the celebs which has forced them to take protection. Kannada actor Darshan is one of the most controversial celebrities of the Sandalwood industry. During a recent event hosted to promote his upcoming film Kranti, a slipper was hurled at him by an angry fan.
While, the details about the person are yet to be revealed, it is being said that they were a fan of late actor Puneeth Rajkumar. It is being alleged that the fan was infuriated at the Darsharn over his mysoginistic remark on ‘Lady Luck’. The incident took place at Hosapete on Sunday evening. Fans have been left infuriated at the act.
According to a video that is going viral, Rachita Ram who also stars in the movie was addressing a huge crowd, when suddenly a slipper was thrown at the actor. As soon as the slipper hit him on the shoulder, he said, “It is not your mistake brother, no problem.” He calmed the situation and made sure that the event concluded without any hiccups. Cops are trying to find the perpetrator.

Talking about the controversial statement, during a recent interview, he told an entertainment portal, “Goddess of Luck doesn't knock on the door always. When she knocks, grab her, drag her into your bedroom and strip her naked. If you give her clothes, she will go out.”
Directed by V Harikrishna, Kranti is all set to release on January 26. The film also features Ravichandran and Sumalatha in important roles.
