Three fans of the KGF actor Yash tragically died from electrocution in Surangi village, Gadag district, Karnataka on January 8, 2024. They were setting up an actor's cut-out to celebrate his birthday when the incident occurred. The individuals who lost their lives were identified as Hanumanth Harijan (24), Murali Naduvinamani (20), and Naveen Gaaji (20). After the tragic incident, the Kannada superstar visited Gadag to offer condolences and support to the families of his fans who passed away. Superintendent of Police, Babasasheb Nemogouda, explained the occurrence, stating, "During the banner setup, three individuals were electrocuted, and three others sustained injuries. The banner's metal frame came into contact with a HESCOM wire, leading to the accident." Shirhatti MLA Chandru Lamani, upon visiting the site, expressed his intention to urge Yash to meet the families affected by the tragedy. He emphasized the importance of refraining from setting up metallic frame banners, appealing to the public for their safety.




On the professional front, Yash's recent appearance was in director Prashanth Neel's KGF: Chapter 2, released in 2022. On December 8, Yash unveiled his next project, 'Toxic', in collaboration with National Award-winning director Geetu Mohandas. The film, commencing its shooting in December under the production of KVN Productions, is set to grace the theatres on April 10, 2025, as announced by Yash and the film's team through a captivating announcement video.
