Arya Parvathi's Mother Delivers Baby At The Age Of 47: Malayalam Actress Gets Candid About Welcoming Her Sister: 'Why Would I Be Ashamed'!

Indian actress, Arya Parvathi is on cloud nine as she welcomed a baby sister at the age of 23. While the entire scenario might come weird, but considering the changing times, people are adapting to new cultures and ideologies. Arya’s mother’s pregnancy was a miracle and she herself got to know about it when she was seven month pregnant. Now, the actress has finally spoken about her mother’s pregnancy and welcomed a baby sister.
Arya welcomed her baby sister in March 2023, and in a recent interaction with the Humans Of Bombay, she revealed when her father gave her a call and informed her about her mother's pregnancy.
Initially, Arya was left shocked by the news and she was in her eighth month. Talking about the same, Arya told Humans of Bombay: "I didn’t know how to react…that’s not something you just hear your parents say at 23. To say I was shocked would be an understatement. Amma was 47. And I know it’s going to sound weird, but when Appa told me, Amma was already in her 8th month. In fact, when Amma herself found out, she was 7 months in."
She also revealed that she always wanted to have a sister when she was a kid, however, the doctors informed her mother that she had a problem with her uterus and she cannot conceive. Arya hugged her mom when she saw the moment she reached home. She was quoted as saying: "After Appa gave me the news, he said they had kept it a secret because they didn’t know how I would react. A few days later, when I reached home, I fell on Amma’s lap & started crying. I said, 'Why would I be ashamed' I had wanted this for so long."
Expressing her happiness on seeing her baby sister, Arya added that she cannot wait to hear didi from her sister. She said: "Just last week, Amma delivered a girl. Life’s never made more sense. I can’t wait for her to call me ‘Didi!’ I mean, people find it weird that we have such a huge age gap, but does that even matter? It’s funny that for the longest time, we didn’t know she was going to come into our lives & now that she has, we can’t seem to stay away from her!"
