Mohanlal's Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea Finally Gets An Onam Release
Mohanlal’s 'Marakkar' all set to release on Onam, the actor announced on social media, the fans are excited
There is good news for the fans of blockbuster hero Mohanlal amidst all the uncertainties and despair. “Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea” one of the much-awaited big-ticket release Malayalam movies is all set to release on the big screens as the makers announced on August 12, keeping in mind the fact that the COVID-19 scenario doesn’t worsen.
The highly anticipated movie “Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea” is directed by Priyadarshan and has also won three awards at the 67th National Film Awards including the Best Feature film and the cinephiles across the nation now have been waiting to hit the big screen.
The mega actor Mohanlal has now posted a note in Malayalam, wherein he has shared his hope of releasing the magnum opus as a festival release on Onam. His post captioned as – “സ്നേഹത്തോടെ, നിറഞ്ഞ മനസ്സോടെ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുകയാണ്, ഈ വരുന്ന ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 12ന്, ഓണം റിലീസ് ആയി "മരക്കാർ അറബിക്കടലിന്റെ സിംഹം" നിങ്ങളുടെ മുന്നിലെത്തിക്കാൻ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് കഴിയുമെന്ന്.. അതിനു നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാർഥനയും പിന്തുണയും ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്ന വിശ്വാസത്തോടെ ഞങ്ങൾ മുന്നോട്ട് നീങ്ങുന്നു.. (We sincerely hope that we will be able to present ‘Marakkar- Lion of the Arabian Sea’ to you as an Onam release on August 12th. Earlier, the makers of “Marakkar- Arabikkadalinte” announced the release date as was March 26, 2020, whereas, the unprecedented happening of pandemic forced the makers to suspend the release on few occasions. However, it is now slated to hit the big screens on August 12.
The Story of “Marakkar - Arabikkadalinte Simham” is based on a period of protagonist Kunjali Marakkar IV, a naval chieftain. The mega star Mohanlal has essaying the role of Kunjali Marakkar IV. Reportedly, many megastars are roped in across the nation in this blockbuster movie. As per the reports the film “Marakkar - Arabikkadalinte Simham” already won three National Awards in the categories - Best feature film, Best special effects, and Best costume design.
