Kangana Ranaut To Star In Chandramukhi 2 Opposite Raghava Lawrence; Shooting Will Commence In The First Week Of December- Reports
Kangana Ranaut is all set to essay the role of a court dancer in P Vasu’s Chandramukhi 2
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is one of the most sought-after personalities in India. The actress, who is currently busy shooting for her movie Emergency, is all set to star in P Vasu’s Chandramukhi 2 alongside Raghava Lawrence. The movie is a sequel to the Jyothika Saravanan-Rajinikanth starrer 2005 horror-comedy flick.
If reports are to be believed, Kangana will be seen essaying the role of a renowned dancer in the king's court who's known for her dancing skills and breathtaking beauty. For the unversed, this movie will be her second Tamil movie after Thalaivii. A source told the Indian Express that the actress will start shooting for the film in the first week of December. The source said, "She will be taking a small break from Emergency and the second schedule of Chandramukhi 2 will commence in January after Emergency wrap." Kangana announced the same on her Instagram story by sharing a new article.

Chandramukhi was a remake of the 1993 Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu, which was also remade in Kannada as Apthamitra (2004) and in Bollywood as Bhool Bhulaiyaa, starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. According to the Indian Express, the sequel will be produced by Lyca Films, which recently produced PS1. As per the Outlook, national award winning costume designer Neeta Lulla will be working on the film. Talk about the same she told the publication, "To create a character who is the epitome of grace in every adaa. Her looks, her hair, her stance and her walk exude and portray the spirit of dance. To me that is Chandramukhi. The film is going to be a beautiful yet challenging experience. I’m very excited to be working again with Kangana on this project. Her sheer strength as an actor lies in the ability to lose herself to the character she is playing. Can’t wait to see what amalgamates in Chandramukhi 2."
On the work front, Kangana Ranaut also has RSVP’s Tejas, Emergency, and the biopic of Noti Binodini in the pipeline.
