Milan Fernandez Passes Away From Cardiac Arrest During The Shoot Of Vidaamuyarchi; Makers Of The Ajith Kumar Starrer Offer Condolences
Art director Milan Fernandez left for his heavenly abode on Sunday. He passed away from a cardiac arrest while working on his upcoming film Vidaamuyarchi starring Ajith Kumar in Azerbaijan, stated film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan. As per the reports by The Times of India, the shoot of the movie had started earlier this month. The makers of the movie also took to their official social media platform to offer their condolences. Having worked on many Ajith movies in the past, he was preparing for the shoot on October 15, when he started to feel uneasy.

According to the report by Hindustan Times, the production house was quick to rush him to the hospital where he succumbed to a massive heart attack. As per the TOI source, quoted by the leading daily, Milan had returned to the hotel on Saturday night after the shoot and he was normal. However, in the morning when he had assembled everyone he complained of uneasiness. 

The source added, “But this morning, he'd assembled everyone in his team for work. But later, he had complained of uneasiness and was sweating a lot. The production team had arranged a car to be taken to the hospital. However, even before they reached the hospital, Milan had passed away.”


For those who don’t know, Vidaamuyarchi is directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca Productions. Taking to their official X handle, the production banner wrote, “Our sincere and deepest condolences to our Art Director @MilanFern30 May his soul Rest In Peace. Our prayers are with his family & beloved ones (folded hands emoticon).” 

On the work front, the late art director worked on a lot of Tamil films over the last few decades. His works include Billa, Velayudham, Veeram, Vettaikaaran, Thunivu, Endrendrum Punnagai, Vedalam, Annaatthe and Pathu Thala to name a few. He is survived by his wife and his son.
