Last October, Netflix made its maiden collaboration with filmmaker Mani Ratnam on the upcoming Tamil anthology film Navarasa, which features nine shorts directed by nine filmmakers on the theme of nine ‘rasas’. The project marks the digital debut of actors Suriya, Arvind Swami, and Vijay Sethupathi among others.
Recently, The debutant director released the first look of the upcoming blockbuster series. The director took to his Twitter and shared the official poster and wrote," Presenting #Roudhram #Navarasa streaming on @netflix from Aug 6th. @santoshsivan @arrahman @JayendrasPOV @sreejithsarang". The OTT platform Netflix recently released the teaser of Mani Ratnam's anthology series Navarasa, in which many famous actors and actresses are seen.
Nava' means 9 and 'Rasa' means human emotions- anger, compassion, courage, hatred, fear, laughter, love, peace, and wonder. Mani Ratnam's new project 'Navrasa' is based on these 9 feelings of human beings. On July 9, the teaser of this project was launched by Netflix. In this video Surya (Suriya), Siddharth (Siddharth), Prakash Raj (Prakash Raj), Vijay Sethupathi (Vijay Setupathi). Many stalwarts like Revathi, Aishwarya Rajesh, etc. are seen. The expression of all these looks very attractive in this video. The teaser has created a buzz on social media as soon as it is released. Millions of people have watched the video not only on YouTube but also on Instagram. 'Navarsa' has been trending on Twitter for two days. Just yesterday, Netflix released the first look of 9 stories of this anthology on its social media. In which all the actors are seen in a very strong look.

These stalwarts of Tamil cinema working on this project have decided for themselves that they will do this. A part of the proceeds from the project will be given for the betterment of junior employees working in Tamil cinema who have suffered a lot due to the corona pandemic.
