Actor Suriya is a huge name on the Tamil entertainment industry. He has garnered a huge fanbase in the country because of his versatile performances. He was busy shooting for his upcoming film ‘Suriya 44’ in Ooty, Tamil Nadu, where her suffered an injury to his head. It all happened while he was shooting an action sequence. For those who don’t know, Suriya 44 also stars Pooja Hegde in lead role, and Jayaram, Karunakaran, and Joju George in pivotal roles. The actor plays the role of a gangster in the film.

As fans began to worry about the actor’s health condition, producer Rajsekhar Pandian took to his official social media handle to share an health update on the 49-year-old actor. Taking to his X (formerly known as Twitter), he wrote, “Dear #AnbaanaFans, It was a minor injury. Pls don’t worry, Suriya Anna is perfectly fine with all your love and prayers.” Fans rushed to the comment section of the tweet to shower the actor with well wishes and love.


India Today reports that the Soorarai Pottru actor has suffered a minor injury. The doctors have advised him to rest for a few days after he received treatment at a hospital in Ooty. owing to Suriya’s health condition, the movie’s shooting has been suspended. 

It was during the actor’s 49th birthday, that the makers of Suriya 44 had unveiled the teaser of the upcoming movie, in which he is seen in a gangster avatar. The clip opens up with a text that reads, “somewhere in the sea.” The following scenes see goons standing around a place marked Royal Estate. Another text at the end of the teaser reads, “A love, a laughter, a war... awaits the one.”


Suriya 44 was initially announced in 2023 and marks the actor’s 44th film. The film carries the tagline Love, Laughter, and War.
