Tamil Actor Marimuthu Passes Away Due To Cardiac Arrest At The Age Of 57; Jailer Fame Breathed Last While Dubbing For A TV Show- Reports
Renowned Tamil actor-director G Marimuthu, aged 57, tragically passed away due to a cardiac arrest on Friday, as reported by the South Indian Artists Association. Condolences have been pouring in for the esteemed artist. In a social media statement, Nadigar Sangam (South Indian Artists Association) announced that director and actor G Marimuthu passed away this morning due to cardiac arrest in a private hospital.

It is reported that he experienced discomfort while dubbing for a Tamil TV serial and was promptly taken to a hospital. Marimuthu, known for directing two films, Kannum Kannum and Pulivaal, both starring the renowned actor Prasanna, leaves behind a notable legacy in the industry. 


Sun TV's official Twitter handle penned a heartfelt tribute Tweet for the veteran. It reads, “It's a tough day for all of us as we say goodbye to one of our most favourite actor, Mr.Marimuthu. He was the heart and soul of Ethirneechal and he's given us some of the most unforgettable onscreen moments as Adhi Gunasekaran. We all loved him and will continue to have a special place for him in our hearts. Rest In Peace, Marimuthu sir.”

Prasanna wrote, “Deeply shattered to know the passing away of director G Marimuthu. We did #KannumKannum and #Pulivaal together. We had a brothers like bond. We agreed to disagree on many. His life wasn't easy at all. As an actor finally he was doing very well. He shud've been there for a while longer. Sad. Rip," Another user wrote "Even though the role is small in Vikram & Jailer he would have given his best.. Good actor. Rest in peace.”

Following the announcement of his passing, the Tamil film industry expressed heartfelt condolences for the late 57-year-old actor.
