Tamil superstar Thalapathi Vijay is finally up for competition as the actor has finally joined Instagram. The actor’s social media debut has impressed the netizens and he has taken over the internet with his first post on Sunday afternoon.
As a part of his debut post, ‘Vijay: The Master’ star posted a picture of himself smiling and captioned the image “Hello Nanbas and Nanbis (Hello friends).” Vijay, who is shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s 'Leo', sports a salt-and-pepper look in his Instagram photo.
The Instagram account has been clocking followers since the minute Vijay joined the social media platform. While the actor is yet to follow any personality, he has gained 4.3 million followers in less than 24 hours. Rashmika Mandanna and Keerthy Suresh were amongst the first few actors to follow him on Instagram, followed by others.
Following the debut, the hashtag “Thalapathy On Instagram” started trending on Twitter soon after he joined Instagram.
Vijay was interacting with his fans through Twitter, and took a break for some time, so his entry into Instagram is considered a new avenue for him to post photos and promote his movies.
Vijay has 7.8 million followers on Facebook and 4.4 million on Twitter.
On the professional front, Tamil blockbuster Varisu alongside Rashmika Mandanna. He will next be seen in ‘Leo’ which marks a reunion between Vijay and Kanagaraj after the 2021 blockbuster 'Master'. The film also stars Trisha Krishnan and she was previously worked with Vijay in Tamil hits like ‘Ghilli’, ‘Kuruvi’, ‘Thirupaachi’ and ‘Aathi’.
Interestingly, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Priya Anand, Sandy, Goutam Vasudev Menon, Arjun and Malayalam actor Mathew Thomas in major roles, apart from Vijay.
