Varalaxami Sarathkumar Kicks Off Shoot With Prabhudeva's Upcoming Action Thriller In Chennai
Prabhudeva, Varalaxmi, Raiza to be seen in an action thriller launch
''Chithakkottudu 2'' director Santhosh P Jayakumar has announced his upcoming project with Prabhudeva, Prabhudeva, Varalaxmi, Raiza Wilson. The shoot for the film commences after a formal ritual in Chennai the other day. Santhosh P Jayakumar updated on Twitter handles and wrote – “Shooting of my next film starring @PDdancing @varusarath5 and @raizawilsonis being produced by @vinod_offlfor #MiniStudio commenced with a pooja today. PS: The film will be an action entertainer @proyuvraaj @immancomposer @Dineshkasi1 @madhankarky”. He reveals that it is an action, family entertainer. He does not reveal the Prabhu deva’s role but he assured that it will be completely different from the ones he has played so far.
Santhosh P Jayakumar says that he wrote the script during this lockdown. He also revealed that “I have always wanted to do an action film and the lockdown paved the way for me to pen the script. Prabhu sir was my only choice for the role. I narrated the script to him over the phone and later, we met in Chennai and he gave me his dates. This script is quite different from my previous films.”

About the roles of Varalaxmi and Raiza, the director says that both of them are not opposite Prabhudeva. He also informed “No, there is no romantic angle. Both of them have solid roles and their characters help take the story forward. The film is character-driven.”
Whereas, Prakash Raj will be seen in a pivotal role and Jagan is also featuring in this movie. Melody is composed by D Imman. Santhosh, before sum up, says “The highlight of the film will be the appa-ponnu sentiment. Prabhu sir’s character and his daughter played by child artiste Aya (of Rowdy Baby fame on social media) will bring in a lot of warmth.”
