Varalaxmi Sarathkumar features in Tharai Thappattai opposite Kathir. The movie was directed by Pushkar Gayathri. Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Shraddha Srinath played pivotal roles in the film. Whereas, Velvet Nagaram was directed by  Manojkumar Natrajan and other star casts including Varalaxmi Sarathkumar were Maalavika Sundar, Ramesh Thilak, Kasturi Shankar and Santhosh Krishna. 

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is having films in hands in multiple Indian regional languages like Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. She is roped up with Kollywood’s project as well. She is also planning to make her debut in movie direction with the film titled ‘Kannamoochi’.
