Allu Arjun and Rashmika Madanna starrer Pushpa: The Rise has been making headlines for multiple reasons. From acting, dialogues to songs, Pushpa has been loved by the masses. Since its release, it has been breaking records. And now, Pushpa (Hindi) has entered the coveted crore club. In its seventh weekend at the box office, Pushpa: The Rise's Hindi version has crossed the 100 crore mark at the box office.
The Hindi version of the film recorded a drop of only twenty percent last week and is expected to finish its theatrical run with a collection in the range of Rs 105-110 crore net.
Originally shot in Telugu, Pushpa: The Rise has also been dubbed and released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The film is directed by Sukumar. It also stars Fahadh Faasil. Allu Arjun essayed the role of Pushpa Raj, a truck driver who quickly rises in ranks and becomes a part of a syndicate that smuggles red sanders, a rare wood that grows only in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh state. Rashmika played the role of Srivalli. Fahadh plays Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, an IPS officer in the film.
The sequel is on cards and the cast will soon start shooting for the film. The sequel is titled "Pushpa: The Rule" and fans are beyond excited. Earlier, speaking to IndiaToday.in, Rashmika gave an update on the sequel. The actress revealed that she has been informed that the shoot will begin in the month of March. The sequel is slated to hit the theatre screens in December this year.
