In recent months, the world has witnessed the demise of many prominent people from the film industry. Earlier today, we received the tragic news that character artiste and writer Uttej’s wife Padmavathi passed away due to cancer. She breathed her last on Monday at Basavatarakam hospital in Hyderabad while in treatment.
Reportedly, the actor’s wife was suffering from cancer for some time and she was currently admitted to the Cancer Hospital after her health started deteriorating, and eventually, she was pronounced dead at the hospital this morning. The actors, fans, and friends are bereaved by the demise of Uttej’s wife.
On receiving the news of Padma’s death, many prominent stars of Tollywood Industry visited actor Uttej’s house, like megastar Chiranjeevi, Prakash Raj, Brahmaji, Jeevitha, and few other Tollywood actors and consoled him and his daughter Paata.
As per the reports, Padmavathi was a homemaker and was involved in various social service activities conducted by Uttej and was also managing ‘Mayukha Talkies Film Acting School’ which Uttej started in 2018.
Uttej and Padmavathi are the parents of two daughters. Younger daughter Paata is pursuing singing and has claimed her shot to fame with parody song 'Orayyo Olammo ' of the song from Ram Charan's hit movie Rangasthalam. However, the elder daughter Chetana is also an artist and a trained Kuchipudi dancer. She has completed a master's degree in Kuchipudi from Hyderabad Central University. She marked her debut movie as a heroine in Pichiga Nachavu in 2017 but did not do well at the box office. Well, Chetana tied the nuptial knot with an actor named Ravi Raj in December 2018.
Actor Uttej is initially earned fame for his comedy and character roles in Tollywood and made his debut in the industry through Ram Gopal Varma's Siva movie with Akkineni Nagarjuna. Uttej is also a good scriptwriter and dialogue writer. In his career, he had done more than eight films with popular filmmakers like Ram Gopal Varma and Krishna Vamsi.
