Gold: Prithviraj Sukumaran And Nayanthara's Film Officially Launched; Film To Be Directed By Alphonse
Gold starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara went on floors on Wednesday officially. The actor announced the commencing of filming through his Instagram account.
On Wednesday, September 8, the makers of Gold officially announced the film with a puja in Kochi. The film went on floors after the ceremony. Directed by Alphonse Puthren, the film is expected to release in theatres soon. Gold will star lady superstar Nayantara and Prithviraj. The actor took to Instagram to announce that his next film, it will see Prithviraj sharing screen space with Nayanthara for the first time. After the puja ceremony, the cast and crew started shooting the film. Sharing the clapboard from the sets, Prithviraj wrote, “@goldmovieofficial #GOLD @puthrenalphonse @prithvirajproductions @magicframes2011 @supriyamenonprithviraj
The team also shared several pictures from the puja to mark the new beginning. The entire team of the film celebrated the occasion by lighting the traditional lamp and posing happily with the clapperboard. The film marks Alphonse’s comeback to films after a gap of 6 years and his first collaboration with Prithviraj. Gold is produced by Supriya Menon of Prithviraj Productions and Listin Stephen of Magic Frames.
Meanwhile, Nayanthara is busy with Atlee Kumar’s pan-India film with Shah Rukh Khan and also has Vignesh Shivan’s next Tamil film Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. In the film she will be sharing screen space with Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Akkineni. On the other hand, Prithviraj has a lineup of films, his next is Aadujeevitham by Blessy, Vaariyamkunan, and Kaduva among others. He recently wrapped up shooting for his second directorial Bro Daddy with Mohanlal.
