HanuMan: Netizens TROLL Adipurush Makers After Prasanth Varma’s Film’s VFX Leaves Them Impressed; Say, ‘Big Lesson For Bollywood’
Bollywood filmmaker Om Raut’s dream project Adipurush, co-starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, was one of the most criticised films of 2023. The movie, despite being made on a budget of around Rs 500 crores, had disappointed the audiences. With the makers trying their level best to share explanations about the movie, netizens openly criticised the film and termed it a blunder. The movie is yet again making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Well, netizens are yet again calling out the movie after watching the trailer of Prasanth Varma directorial HanuMan.

Sharing a tale of a guy who poses strength like Lord Hanuman, the movie is packaged like a commercial entertainer starring Teja Sajja in the lead role. While the VFX in the trailer might not be flawless, however, according to the netizens they are far better than Adipurush. Many have now taken to social media to comment on the same, going as far as to state that Bollywood filmmakers must take lessons from South directors while creating big-budget movies that are inspired by mythology, like Brahmastra and Adipurush.

One wrote, “#HanuManRAMpage When you have grt chance of making movie. Make good movies like #Hanuman. Not movies like #Adipurush. Big lesson for Bollywood. Entire team take bow. @PrasanthVarma A Director who is Capable of doing movies like Avatar #TejaSajja Performance.”

Talking about Adipurush, the dialogue writer of the movie, Manoj Muntashir had whole-heartedly defended the film despite being under fire for the questionable VFX, CGI to the ‘tapori’ dialogues and over-sensationalism of all the characters. He had gone on to issue an apology and accepted that the movie had hurt people’s religious sentiments. A part of his apology read, “With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation.”

An adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana, Adipurush is directed by Om Raut. The movie stars Prabhas as Ayodhya Prince Raghava, Saif Ali Khan as demon king Lankesh, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, Sunny Singh as Laxmana, and Devdatta Nage as Hanuman among many others in the lead roles. Produced by T-Series, the movie was released on 16th June 2023 on the big screens.
