It is a proud moment for India as SS Rajamouli’s RRR yet again made the headlines for bagging yet another prestigious award at Oscars 2023. After being awarded for Best Original song category, for Naatu Naatu, at Golden Globes 2023 and the ‘Best Foreign Language Film’ award at the 28th Critics’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles, Naatu Naatu took the 95th Academy Awards stage by storm. 

Not only did it win the Best Original Song category, but the live performance by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava left everyone in high spirits. Starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, the music composers MM Keeravani and Chandrabose accepted the trophy after it was announced by Kate Hudson and Janelle Monae. Once accepting the award, Keeravani took to the mic to express his joy by giving a speech in a song format. He proceeded to express his gratitude to everyone involved in the music making process, which left the fans as well as the industry teary-eyed. Talking about the movie, the SS Rajamouli directorial is set in the 1920s. It follows the journey of a tribal leader, Komaram Bheem, and a police officer, Alluri Sitarama Raju’s, journey to fight for the freedom of their people from the British. The magnum opus movie racked in nearly Rs 1,200 crore at the box office worldwide. The movie also stars Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Olivia Morris, and Ray Stevenson, among many others in pivotal roles.
