Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s separation was a big blow to the fans. While the two have been growing further in life, some reports have seemingly made things ugly between the two. Recently, a report of Naga Chaitanya walking out of a theatre as the trailer of ex-wife Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s upcoming movie Kushi played on screen has been doing the rounds on social media. Now, the actor has finally broken his silence about the same. 

Speaking to Times Now, Naga Chaitanya has rubbished the reports and said "It is utter rubbish. Some Telugu websites started this rumour. I have already requested them to correct the article."


Meanwhile, a source close to the development was also quoted by the report and stated, "I wouldn't be surprised if this sordid story has been planted by the Kushi team, considering the film has so far generated zero traction."

For those unaware, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu parted ways in 2021 and the duo issued a statement confirming their split. The reason for their divorce is still unknown but Chaitanya confirmed that the divorce has come through and they both have moved on. 

Naga Chaitanya earlier told the Times of India, “Yes. It’s been more than two years since we separated and a year since we were formally divorced. The court has granted us a divorce. Both of us have moved on with our lives. I have tremendous respect for that phase of my life.” He further added, “She is a lovely person and deserves all happiness.”

On the professional front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie Kushi. She will be seen alongside Vijay Deverakonda and the film is being helmed by Shiva Nirvana. 


the movie revolves around the story of to people from different castes who fall in love with each other and decide to marry without the consent of their parents to prove to them that love is enough to keep two people together, however, later they face the reality of marriage life. 

The movie is scheduled to hit the theatres on September 1.
