RRR Cinematographer Senthil Kumar’s Wife Roohi Passes Away Due To Multiple Organ Failure; Last Rites To Take Place in Hyderabad- REPORTS
K. K. Senthil Kumar’s wife Roohi left for her heavenly abode on Thursday afternoon, February 15. She passed away while undergoing treatment at the KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad, Telangana. As per various media reports, she breathed her last due to multiple organ failure. She was admitted to the hospital a few days ago due to health-related issues. Fans of the well-known cinematographer of Telugu films were quick to take to their social media handles to express their deep shock and convey their condolences. Kumar had reportedly taken a break from his work to take care of his wife.

According to a report by the Free Press Journal, Roohi’s last rites will be taking place at 9 am on Friday, February 16, at Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The cinematographer’s team released a statement, confirming the news of his wife’s passing. Quoted by Hindustan Times, the press statement reads, “Cinematographer Senthil's wife #Roohi garu passed away (on Thursday) at 2 pm. Final rites (on Friday) at 9 am at Mahaprasthanam, Jubilee Hills. (sic).”


Talking about their love story, Senthil and Roohi met through a common friend after she moved to Hyderabad from Mumbai due to work. Despite being polar opposites they fell in love and tied the knot in 2009. Roohi moved to Hyderabad after their wedding. She went on to establish herself as a successful yoga instructor, even working with Baahubali actress Anushka Shetty. Apart from being an avid social media user, she also headed the Hyderabad division of Bharat Thakur’s Yoga classes. She would often share photos and videos with her family on her official social media handle.

For the unversed, Senthil Kumar made a name for himself in the entertainment industry as one of the most sought-after cinematographers. He has collaborated with SS Rajamouli in many of his blockbuster movies like RRR, the Baahubali franchise, Magadheera, Arundhati, Yamadonga, Chatrapathi, Eega and Sye.
