Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation last week, leaving their fans and well-wishers shocked and disappointed. There have been many speculations around what went wrong between the two of them. One of the rumours that has been doing the rounds is that the actress wanted to start a family with Chaitanya and she didn't sign any projects or read scripts for that reason.
As per a report in Pinkvilla, "Family has always been her priority and she wanted to balance it to start a family." It is also being said that it was the actress' closeness to her designer/stylist friend Preetham Juralkar that led to divorce between the couple. And a News18 report said that after separating from Naga Chaitanya, Samantha is now planning to move permanently to Mumbai and has asked her close ones to hunt for a good property.
So many reports, but none were confirmed by Samantha. The actress however on Friday took to Twitter and set the record straight once and for all. She wrote, "Your emotional investment into a personal crisis has overwhelmed me. Thank you all for showing deep empathy, concern and for defending me against false rumours and stories that are being spread." It further read, "They say I had affairs, never wanted children, that I am an opportunist and now that I have had abortions. A divorce in itself is an extremely painful process. Let alone allowing me the time to heal. This attack on me personally, has been relentless. But I promise you this, I will never allow this or anything else they say, break me."
Guess, that says enough!
Samantha and Chaitanya announced their split last week. Sharing a note on Instagram, the actress wrote, "To all our well wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe we always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support."
