SS Rajamouli’s Aunt Bhanumathi Passes Away Due To Prolonged Illness; Mortal Remains Kept At His House To Pay Last Respects- REPORTS
SS Rajamouli is morning the loss of his aunt who was also music director MM Keeravani’s mother
Telugu director SS Rajamouli, who has been touring around the world to promote his blockbuster film RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, is mourning the loss of his aunt Bhanumathi. If reports are to be believed she was also the mother of RRR’s music director MM Keeravani. She breathed her last on Wednesday due a prolonged illness.
The reports by India Today suggest that she had been quite unwell for some time now and was undergoing treatment for the same. He mortal remains are kept at Rajamouli’s house for people to pay their last respects. The report also states that MM Keeravani and the filmmaker are paternal cousins. Talking about RRR, the world is busy celebrating the big win as not only did the pan-Indian movie bag five nominations at the Critics Choice Awards 2023 – Best Picture, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Visual Effects, Best Director, and Best Song, it has also be nominated for Best Foreign Language Film, and Best Visual Effects at the Golden Globes 2023.
Known for his larger-than-life movies, during a recent media interaction, when the director was asked about his plans to collaborate with Hollywood filmmakers, he had said, “There are a lot enquiries from Hollywood, but at present, I’m committed to doing a movie with Mahesh Babu, he’s a big Telugu star. I am committed to doing a film with him. But I would definitely like to learn so much from Hollywood, their style of working, their methodology. For the unversed, SS Rajamouli’s RRR was released in March 2022. The movie starred Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in pivotal roles. It grossed a whopping 1200 crore at the global box office.
