SS Rajamouli’s Son Karthikeya BRUTUALLY Trolled For His Insensitive ‘Experience An Earthquake Box Ticked’ In Japan Tweet
Filmmaker SS Rajamouli and his son SS Karthikeya found themselves in the midst of an earthquake during their visit to Japan on Thursday (March 21). Despite surviving the natural disaster unharmed, Karthikeya faced criticism for what some deemed an 'insensitive' post. The father-son duo's trip to Japan was initially intended for a special screening of the blockbuster film RRR, held at multiplex theaters Shinjuku Piccadilly Cinema and Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo on Monday.

Today, Karthikeya took to his official X account to recount the earthquake experience and shared a photo of an alert from his smartwatch warning about the impending tremor. The alert, issued by the Japan Meteorological Agency, urged people to stay calm and seek nearby shelter. However, it was Karthikeya's addition of laughing emojis to his post that triggered a wave of backlash. While many expressed genuine concern for their safety, others took offence at Karthikeya's seemingly flippant remark about ticking off experiencing an earthquake from his bucket list.

Critics slammed Karthikeya for what they perceived as insensitivity, with comments questioning the appropriateness of viewing a natural disaster as a mere item to check off a list. The earthquake, reported to have a preliminary magnitude of 5.3, struck Japan on Thursday morning. Karthikeya, known for his roles as a producer and assistant director in acclaimed films such as Eega, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, and Yuddham Sharanam, found himself under scrutiny for his controversial post amidst the aftermath of the seismic event.
